How is textile recycling done?

Hi, I am here to explain (in simple terms) how textile recycling is done.

1. Used fabrics are sorted out by material and color. They sort them out by color so that it does not need to be re-dyed.

2. A machine shreds the textiles into fibers. Then turn into a yarn.

3. The machine cleans the yarn and undergoes a process called "Carding."

4. Re-spinning of the yarn is done to form a weave or a knit.

This is my most basic explanation of the textile recycling process. That is why it is important to sort out used clothes and donate them to clothing bins so that they are sorted out properly.
